These terms describe your use of GPS Area Calculator (the “app”) and its support website. “We” and “us” refer to the app’s developer, reachable at nhungviet86.dev@gmail.com. By using the app, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, stop using it. Nothing here removes rights you have under applicable consumer law.

Using the app

The app helps estimate areas, distances, and perimeters using map points or GPS coordinates. You may use it for lawful personal or business purposes, subject to these terms and the applicable App Store rules. You must have authority to agree to these terms; if you cannot legally agree on your own, a parent or guardian must review and agree on your behalf.

Do not misuse the app, interfere with its operation, infringe another person’s rights, bypass purchase restrictions, or use it for unlawful surveillance. Restrictions on copying, modification, or reverse engineering apply only to the extent allowed by law and applicable open-source licenses.

Measurement accuracy and safe use

Measurements are estimates, not certified surveys or legal boundary determinations. Results can vary with GPS reception, device accuracy, map data, terrain, and the points you select. Map images and coordinates may be incomplete or outdated.

Do not rely on the app as the sole basis for property transactions, construction, land disputes, engineering, navigation, or safety-critical decisions. Obtain a qualified professional’s measurements and advice where accuracy has legal, financial, or safety consequences.

Stay aware of your surroundings when recording GPS points. Do not use the app while driving or operating machinery, enter property without permission, or put yourself or others at risk to obtain measurements.

Subscriptions and purchases

The app offers optional premium subscriptions through Apple. Available features, prices, billing periods, and any trial or promotional conditions are shown before purchase. Apple charges your Apple Account according to the offer you accept.

Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled before renewal according to Apple’s purchase terms. Manage or cancel them in your Apple Account subscription settings. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. For a free or discounted trial, follow the cancellation deadline shown by Apple, including canceling at least 24 hours before the trial ends where required.

You can restore eligible purchases using the app’s Restore Purchases option with the Apple Account used to buy them. Refunds are handled through Apple, subject to Apple’s rules and your statutory rights. See Apple’s subscription cancellation instructions and Apple’s refund request service.

Your data and reports

You retain your rights in the notes and measurement information you create. You are responsible for the information you enter and the reports you choose to share. Keep separate copies of important records: local data may be lost when you remove the app, change devices, or encounter a device failure. Exporting or sharing a report does not certify its accuracy.

Intellectual property and Apple’s license

The app’s software, design, and branding belong to the developer or relevant licensors. Using the app does not transfer ownership of those materials. Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement applies to the App Store license unless a separate custom license is provided. These terms supplement that license and do not override mandatory App Store conditions. Third-party maps and other content remain subject to their owners’ rights.

Third-party services

The app relies on services such as Apple Maps, Apple’s purchase system, and advertising providers. Their availability and content are outside our control, and their own terms and privacy policies apply. An advertisement or external link does not mean we endorse the advertised product or service.

Availability and changes

We may update the app, change features, or discontinue functionality. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access, compatibility with every device, or permanent availability of third-party services. Where changes affect paid access, we will honor applicable obligations and provide notice or remedies required by law.

You may stop using the app at any time. Any restriction or termination for misuse remains subject to applicable law and the applicable app license. Subscription cancellation must be handled separately through Apple.

Warranties and responsibility

To the extent permitted by law, the app and its measurement results are provided as available, without a promise that they will meet every purpose or be free from errors. Independently verify results before relying on them.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, or lost data arising from use of the app or reliance on its estimates. These limitations do not exclude liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for fraud or other protected claims, and do not limit mandatory consumer guarantees or remedies.

Updates to these terms

We may revise these terms as the app changes. The effective date identifies the current version. We will provide notice and seek agreement where required by law. If you disagree with revised terms, you may stop using the app and cancel any subscription through Apple. Changes do not remove rights already accrued under applicable law.
