Privacy Policy
GPS Area Calculator · Effective September 11, 2026
This policy explains how GPS Area Calculator (the “app”) and its support website handle information. “We” and “us” refer to the developer of GPS Area Calculator, reachable at nhungviet86.dev@gmail.com.
Location and map services
With your permission, the app uses your device’s location to show your position and record points for area and distance measurements. It requests location access while you use the app. You can change or revoke access in iOS Settings, including precise location access. You can also measure by placing points on the map without granting GPS access.
Maps, place suggestions, and searches use Apple MapKit. Search text and information needed to provide map results are processed by Apple. The app does not operate a developer server to receive your GPS tracks or saved measurements. Apple’s handling of map-service information is described in Apple Maps & Privacy and the Apple Privacy Policy.
Saved measurements and sharing
Saved coordinates, measurement results, names, groups, notes, and app preferences are stored on your device. The app does not require an account or provide its own cloud synchronization. Device backups may include app data, depending on your Apple and device settings.
When you choose to export or share a report, the exported information may include coordinates, map images, notes, and measurement results. The apps and recipients you select receive that information under their own privacy practices. Share only information you intend to disclose.
Advertising and consent
The app displays advertisements using Google AdMob. Advertising services may process IP addresses (including approximate location derived from them), device or advertising identifiers, ad impressions and interactions, and diagnostic or performance information. These services use information to deliver and measure ads, prevent fraud, and maintain their services. Personalized advertising depends on applicable consent, permissions, and provider settings.
The app uses Google’s consent messaging system to request advertising choices where required. You can control location and any tracking permissions granted to the app in iOS Settings. If you need help with advertising privacy choices, contact us. Refusing personalized advertising does not necessarily prevent all processing needed to deliver ads.
Google may use mediation partners to serve ads. The app includes integrations for Meta Audience Network, Liftoff/Vungle, AppLovin, Pangle, Unity Ads, and Mintegral; which partners process information depends on the ads served and the advertising configuration. Their policies describe their data practices and available choices:
- Google Privacy Policy and Google’s use of information from partner apps
- Meta Privacy Policy
- Liftoff Privacy Policy
- AppLovin Privacy Policy
- Pangle Privacy Policy
- Unity Privacy Policy
- Mintegral Privacy Policy
Purchases
Apple processes in-app purchases and subscriptions. The app receives transaction and entitlement information to enable premium access and restore purchases. We do not receive your payment card details. Apple handles payment information under its privacy policy.
Support messages
If you email us, we receive your email address, your message, and any attachments you choose to send. We use these to respond, troubleshoot problems, and handle your request. Please avoid sending unnecessary sensitive information. Our email provider processes messages to deliver and store correspondence.
The support website
These pages contain no analytics scripts, advertising scripts, forms, or cookies added by us. Vercel hosts the website and may process standard request information, such as IP addresses, browser details, requested pages, and timestamps, to deliver and secure it. See the Vercel Privacy Notice. Following an external link or opening your email app is subject to that service’s privacy practices.
Retention, deletion, and security
Saved measurements remain on your device until you delete them in the app or remove the app’s data. Deleting the app does not delete reports you exported, copies held by recipients, or existing device backups. Manage those separately through the relevant app, recipient, or backup settings.
We keep support correspondence as needed to resolve requests, maintain relevant support records, or meet legal obligations. You may request deletion by email. Advertising, hosting, and payment providers apply their own retention policies. We take reasonable steps to protect information we handle, but no storage or transmission method is completely secure.
Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of personal information, restrict or object to processing, withdraw consent, or complain to a privacy regulator. Contact us to exercise rights relating to information we hold. We may need to verify your request. We cannot retrieve or remotely delete measurements stored only on your device.
Where applicable, we process support information to respond to your requests, operate and secure our services, and comply with legal requirements; processing that requires consent relies on that consent. Providers may process information outside your country under their own policies and applicable safeguards.
Children’s privacy
The app is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect children’s personal information through support correspondence. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can investigate and delete it where appropriate.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy when app features or information practices change. We will update the effective date on this page and provide additional notice when required. For privacy questions, email nhungviet86.dev@gmail.com.
